1.Who we are
Lumen Rail ("we", "us") sells smart-home hardware directly to consumers through this website. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what you can do about it.

2.What we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and a password stored only as a salted hash — we never see or store the plaintext.
- Order data: shipping name, address, phone, the items bought, amounts paid, and the payment reference you submit.
- Session data: an opaque token kept in your browser so you stay signed in. It expires, and signing out destroys it.
- Newsletter data: just the email address you submitted, plus the timestamp and the page you subscribed from.
- Technical data: which pages were requested and when, kept in ordinary web-server logs. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3.Why we process it
We process your data only to perform the contract you entered into (taking payment, shipping the goods, handling returns), to keep your account working, and — if you opted in — to send the newsletter.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
4.Who else sees it
We use a small number of processors who only act on our instructions:
- Payment provider — to settle card payments (currently Stripe). They receive the card details you type directly into their checkout; those details never touch our servers.
- Email provider — to deliver order notifications and the newsletter.
- Carriers — names and addresses, strictly to deliver your parcel.
5.How long we keep it
Order records are kept for the period tax and accounting law requires (generally seven years), because they are our books. Everything else is kept only as long as it is useful: accounts until you delete them, sessions until they expire, newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe.
6.Your rights
Depending on where you live you may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to processing. Email privacy@buoai.cn from the address on the account and we will action it.
Some data we cannot delete — mainly order records we must keep for tax purposes. We will tell you which parts fall into that category rather than silently ignoring the request.
7.Cookies
This site sets one thing in your browser: a preference record holding your language and theme choice. No cookie in the advertising sense is used, so there is nothing to consent to.
8.Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will change the date above. Significant changes are announced by email to registered customers.
